Roadmap
What is shipping now, and what we expect to improve next
Last updated: April 9, 2026
TL;DR
Version 1.0 is intentionally focused, and the next work is mostly polish.
DontTouchMyMac has one public release today. That release is centered on the core local alarm behavior for a locked Apple Silicon MacBook. The next planned work is focused on improving licensing clarity, release polish, and the overall alarm experience rather than dramatically expanding scope all at once.
Current direction
Current release: version 1.0
CurrentThe first public release focuses on the core local alarm path: menu bar controls, movement detection for a locked MacBook, custom alarm sounds, and launch-at-login support.
License and activation polish
PlannedImprove activation messaging, device-transfer clarity, and the overall license management experience so moving to a new Mac feels more predictable.
Update and release polish
PlannedRefine the release experience around website downloads, release notes, and future in-app update delivery.
More alarm personality
PlannedContinue improving the sound experience with more built-in alarm options and better support for imported audio.
Past releases
Initial public release with menu bar controls, local movement-triggered alarm behavior, imported custom sounds, launch-at-login support, and the first website, licensing, and distribution flow.
